Our campaign launched at the height of the expenses scandal because the old politics of First-Past-the-Post has failed us. The only way to return democracy to our disgraced Parliament is by giving voters a real say in who represents them.
Over the past few months we’ve put electoral reform firmly on the agenda.
Because of pressure from thousands of our supporters the campaign secured a meeting with Gordon Brown. And now it seems the politicians have started to listen – announcing that parliament will be given a vote on a proposal to hold a referendum on electoral reform in the next parliament.
But the fight isn’t over – opponents of reform will stop at nothing to take away our choice. Now we’ve been given the chance of a referendum, don't let them take it away.
